Community forest associations play an important role in participatory forest management. Conservation Kenya is committed to building the capacity of these institutions in carrying out their roles in public awareness, tree planting, beekeeping, and ecotourism among others. The Loitokitok Community Forest Association continues to benefit from training and team building at the Conservation Kenya camp in Amboseli.
