Research stands as a cornerstone of CHD Conservation Kenya’s mission, dedicated to safeguarding the Amboseli Ecosystem. In the latter part of 2023, backed by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW), we embarked on a pioneering Maasai giraffe research endeavour, an endeavour we are proud to undertake.

This collaboration empowers us to delve into a comprehensive understanding of the behaviour, habitat preferences, and population dynamics of the revered Maasai giraffe within the Amboseli region. Our goal is to illuminate the ecological requisites and conservation hurdles confronting this endangered species through extensive field studies and data collection initiatives.

The research remains ongoing. Our committed team persists in conducting field studies and gathering data to deepen our comprehension of this emblematic species and its habitat.
